Allana Buick & Bers performed concrete spall repair and roof replacement evaluation, design, and construction management services for this 11-story senior housing building.
Allana Buick & Bers was retained to provide an evaluation of roof, underlying insulation, extensive leaking, balcony decks, plaza deck waterproofing, concrete walls and patios. We also provided design and construction management services.
The project involves approval from OSHPD (Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) of the State of California. The building was re-roofed while remaining in operation. Allana Buick & Bers provided Investigation and evaluation of the spall repair design to the concrete decks. Additionally, we worked with the waterproofing contractor to monitor repairs and provide assistance in construction management.
Channing House used our services to assist in controlling the cost of roof replacement, spall repairs and remedial repairs to the plaza waterproofing, balconies and roof. We were also requested to perform an evaluation of the building’s concrete walls, all of which were performed while the building remained in operation.
